One of the reasons why a business will fail is because you don’t know WHY you are in business in the first place. You may think you know, but wanting to work in your pyjamas is not a valid reason. So before you start shopping for extra jammies, ask yourself these important questions: Are you passionate about this idea you have? Can you picture yourself doing it every day and still be happy? How will your family feel about it? What would the financial rewards be? Are you willing to make sacrifices and stay committed? Are you willing to learn from others? Are you willing to spend some money? Do you want to make real money?
Who wants to spend 8 hours a day, and fight traffic, to do something you don’t like or have a passion for? Hell no, not me!
I have a bunch of reasons Why. I want flexibility in my time and my location of work. I don’t want to be stuck in traffic. I love working from home. I want to have more quality time with my family. I want to be my own boss and call the shots (I am a bad employee). I want to reap the financial rewards to building my own income and not have this dictated by someone else. I don’t want to work my butt off for someone else to get rich from my efforts. I want the unlimited financial opportunities, time management opportunities and the opportunity to work at something I am passionate, excited and can’t wait to jump out of bed in the morning for!
The most important why for me is that I get to help, inspire, teach, coach and motivate people just like you to think big, to realize your dreams, to unleash your potential for an amazing life and business. I am tremendously passionate about others people’s successes and when I am able to help others fulfill their dreams, I am fulfilled. This is what turns me on!
Now let’s talk money. Don’t be afraid to say it out loud. One of the main reasons we go into business is to make money. Or more specifically, to make a Profit. A business cannot survive if it does not make a profit. It would then be called a ‘not for profit.’ Or a hobby. Or a passing fancy. If this is all you want, then great – go for it. But if you want a business, listen up.
Remember, thinking about your business is not going to get you anywhere. If you want that kick ass business, then you need to kick your ass off the couch. You need to stop whining about your life and Blow it up! Master it! Do it like your life depends on it!
