One of the biggest mistakes people make in building a business is trying to figure it out all by themselves.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

What makes you think you can start a business, get clients, make money and live happily ever after if you have not been shown how?<\/p>\n

Especially if you have never done it before!<\/em><\/p>\n

It’s ludicrous, but almost everyone tries flying solo.<\/strong> Why? Ignorance, ego and fear.<\/p>\n

I have tried it too, and that’s why I know it doesn’t work.<\/p>\n

Successful people know that they need help and ask for it. That’s what makes them successful!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can’t possibly be good at everything.\u00a0<\/span>You will have some of the skills you need for a successful business, but not others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assess the skills you have, what skills you want to learn, and which others you need to hire out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first person I hired was an assistant to help with the day-to-day activities.Getting help for just five hours a month will be one of the best moves you can make<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you are wondering when is the right time to hire someone and start spreading the word about your business my answer is simple. Right now.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

Here are 13 things I did to stop flying solo in my business:<\/p>\n

• I hired a\u00a0business coach<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
• I hired a social media strategist<\/a>\u00a0for five hours a month<\/span><\/li>\n
• I bought a book on social media<\/strong> so I could be conversationally fluent (I knew 100% nothing!)<\/span><\/li>\n
• I hired a graphics person<\/strong> to work on name\/logo\/website<\/span><\/li>\n
• I started writing blogs<\/a>\u00a0on anything I could think about<\/span><\/li>\n
• I incorporated<\/strong> my business<\/span><\/li>\n
• I signed up for Legal Shield<\/strong> (legal advice at my fingertips)<\/span><\/li>\n
• I wrote a massive To-Do list<\/strong> and put it in order of priority<\/span><\/li>\n
• I set a workday schedule<\/a>, picking the top three things to do every day<\/span><\/li>\n
• I scheduled in fun time\/personal time<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
• I mapped out the\u00a0steps to my vision<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
• I mapped out networking events<\/a>\u00a0in a 50 km radius<\/span><\/li>\n
• I started selling my service<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  And guess what happened?<\/em><\/p>\n

  I started getting clients.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  I never stopped, and I still haven’t stopped.<\/p>\n

  I would love to challenge you to do the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  Get moving forward and don’t stop.<\/p>\n

  Write up your list of things to do. Prioritize it. Make decisions on whether to hire someone to help you.<\/p>\n
